The following are the current 2006 - 2008 officers of the Diocesan Service Committee for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Memphis, Catholic Diocese Memphis:

Qualifications

The following qualifications are taken from the Constitution document for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Memphis, adopted February 18th, 2005.

 

Elections for the five Committee Officer positions will be held every other year.  Elected Officers will serve a two-year term, with a two-term limit.  In the event an officer is unable to complete a term, a replacement will by appointed by the Liaison.

 

Requirements for all Positions:

 

  • Member in good standing of a Catholic parish.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
  • Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.

 

It is expected that all Officers of the Diocesan Service Committee will maintain a healthy prayer life, keep abreast of the National Service Committee activities, and attend local, regional or national Catholic Charismatic Conferences when possible.

 

The Officers of the DiocesanService Committee should consider themselves "ambassadors" of the Renewal--spreading the Good Word and refraining from any hint of negativity or disunity.
