Summary of meeting held September 10, 2004

PRESENT: Laurie Solaas, Linda McGee, Helen and Mike Lenahan, Mike Yarborough, Carlene Inzer, Deacon Werner Rose, Velera Faison and Suzanne Johnson

This Diocesan Charismatic Service Committee Meeting, held at Holy Spirit Church, began at 7pm and concluded at 8:45pm.  Helen led the group in song and Suzanne led everyone in prayer.

Velera Faison read the minutes from the previous meeting on July 16, 2004.  All approved.  Velera seconded this motion.

Deacon Werner Rose reported that the Installation Mass was a success and felt strongly the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Carlene and Velera reported on the recent conferences in Nashville and Little Rock.  Carlene suggested taking time to listen to one of the tapes on intercessory prayer from the Nashville Conference.

Deacon Rose discussed that we will go over and see everyone's job description drafts next meeting.  He also mentioned sending cards will be added to Velera's job description.

Carlene passed out the Spiritual Formation sheet which contains prayer groups throughout the diocese.  Once corrected and revised, Carlene will get copies of the directory to all prayer groups.

There was a general discussion of goals and objectives from each officer.  Deacon Rose asked if we would each give 3 objectives for the next meeting under the following goals: growth, communication and respect.

We discussed Father John Capuci in "Growing in the Gifts of the Spirit" on Dec.3, 4 at Holy Spirit.  Father Capuci would take a love offering.

Linda McGee reported $163.23 in the treasury as of September 10, 2004.
