they are submitted to Judy Gray for publishing. The deadline for submissions to
WTC is the Monday a full week before publication. We are to get input to Jan
well before that.
- Carlene will assign someone to look into the CCRM Website link
on the Diocesan web page (http://www.cdom.org).
- Our CCRM mailing address continues as: "Catholic Charismatic
Renewal of Memphis, C/O The Catholic Diocese of Memphis, 5825 Shelby Oaks Drive,
Memphis, TN 38134-7389".
- Email addresses that needed changing on the "DSC Catholic
Charismatic Directory:

Activities:
- Mike will use Suzanne's credit card to secure the web-hosting
service, that we have to purchase the services for a full year, and that Suzanne
will be reimbursed from the CCRM funds for this expense.
- Joe will make the picture, Prayer Group Listing, and email
address updates to the website as needed, and will then give the updated website
files to Mike for installation on the new web hosting site.
- November DSC meeting is changed to November 11th from 1:00 PM
to 5:00 PM at St. Louis Pastoral Center.
- We agreed to replace the December DSC meeting (December 15th)
with a Charismatic Mass at St. Louis Pastoral Center on November 30th, 7:00 PM
until 9:00 PM. Jan is to contact Fr. Jim Martel about celebrating the Mass.
Walt Bolton is to prepare Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Materials and
Vestments for the Mass. Joe will provide music for Praise and Worship and for
the Mass. Werner said he would assist at Mass if no prior commitment.
- Carlene mentioned that the Filipino Prayer Group will be doing
a Novena of Masses just prior to Christmas this year, so they will not be doing
their annual Holy Hour on the Feast of the Holy Family (December 31st) at St.
Joachim's Chapel in Bartlett this year. She said that instead, the Sunday Night
Prayer Meeting will have a Holy Hour from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, December
31st at St. Louis Church, pending OK from Parish staff.
Old Business--
--------------
- Music Ministry. All agreed that the music at Charismatic
Functions could be handled easily by an "Ad Hoc" music ministry.
- Report on October 6th Mass. Carlene noted that we need to
allow time after Communion at Charismatic Masses for the use of the gift of
Prophecy. She stated that Walt Bolton will ask Fr. Martel about this for the
November 30th Mass. Mike reminded us that the conduct of the Mass is up to the
Priest Celebrating. Helen noted that there are several places during the
conduct of a Charismatic Mass where the Gift of Tongues can be used:
- After the Priest enters
- After the Confiteor
- During the Consecration
- After Communion
- Born in the Spirit Leadership Training. Helen said she would
like to do the "Born in the Spirit" Facilitator training on November 18th from
10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at her house, and would like to do a "Born in the Spirit"
Seminar over 5 Sunday afternoons starting in January of 2007. Carlene suggested
inviting the DRE from St. Peter's Church to the training and to the Seminar in
January. Helen said the training is primarily for those who have been Baptized
in the Holy Spirit.
- 2nd Saturday Praise and Worship. Suzanne reported that we
have had anywhere from 2 people to 10 people in attendance.
New Business--
--------------
- Stand up and Be Counted. Carlene passed along a flyer for the
Men's Morning of Spirituality, October 28th from 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM at Our Lady
of Perpetual Help Church.
- National Charismatic Conference. Carlene asked if Suzanne
could pick up some tapes or CDs of the talks in Spanish for our Spanish Prayer
Groups. She said that Suzanne would be reimbursed from the CCRM funds.
- Possible June 2007 Retreat. Carlene reported that she had
spoken with Fr. Mark Stengel who said that he would be better able to discern
the June 2007 Retreat possibilities after he gauges the success of his upcoming
retreat at Subiaco.
9:11PM - Meeting adjourned at 9:11 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Joe Solaas, Secretary
