Summary of meeting held January 20, 2006

PRESENT: Werner Rose, Joe Solaas, Velera Faison, Helen Lenahan, Mike Lenahan, Linda McGee and Mike Yarbrough.

The meeting opened at 7:15pm. Joe opened with prayer and song.

Secretary Report

Velera read the minutes from the November 18,2005 meeting.  Werner moved to approve minutes as read.  All approved minutes.

Financial Report

Linda reported our current balance is $278.31.

Communications Report

It was discussed that Joe and Mike Yarbrough will report back next meeting on their recommendations on saving money in maintaining and running the catholicstuff.org website.  It will be boted on next meeting.

Activity Report

It was discussed that Mike Lenahan will get with Suzanne and Laurie on getting a Charismatic Mass going.

New Business

It was discussed and decided that everyone was comfortable with the 2006 election of officers schedule.

Werner appointed the nominating committee which will include Helen Lenahan, Velera Faison, and possibly Bob Trainor.  Mike Yarbrough will ask Bob Trainor.  It was discussed that the nominating committee will handle the ballots by e-mail.

There was a discussion on the quarterly event.  Helen mentioned having a St. Joseph's Day Festival on March 19, 2006 at St. Ann's in Bartlett.  Having a spaghetti / ravioli dinner was discussed as well as bring food for the altar to be given to the poor.  Mike Lenehan will get with Edgar Gumban, Linda and Mike Yarbrough to help on a committee for this event.

Next DSC meeting is scheduled for February 17, 2006.
